What does this line mean?

I was watching Fran Drescher's new show Happily Divorced and she and her husband were talking about getting a divorce. He grabbed his things and started moving into the den and she got mad at him and told him he had to move out. He said he didn't have any where to go and she said "You're gay. Go to the Y.M.C.A." What does that line mean?
